The Challenge

Past versions of the DC Comics Superman style guides were simple brochures. For the new version, DC Comics wanted to do something more interesting.

Our solution was to create a large style guide based on the "Daily Planet," the newspaper where Clark Kent works.

Supporting Artwork

Along with designing the style guide, we were also tapped to develop all the artwork for licensees. We created icons, patterns and graphic elements to match the style guide theme. We worked with illustrations of Superman by DC Comics artists to develop graphic treatments for licensed products.
